Year: 1994 Technical Specifications: • Plot of land: 30,000 m² reclaimed from the river. • Foundations: Running footings and hardstands. • Structure of pavilion and auditorium: These were built with a metallic structure composed of bi-articulated bents, with a 50-meter span every 12.50 m, and 10- and 13-meter heights. Purlins formed by metallic beams are placed every 1.5 m. • Roofing: In-situ cold-shaped sheet, 50-meter span, flanged longitudinally every 40 cm, and fastened to purlins with internal clamps, so that it can be tightened without drilling. Thermal insulation: Internal rigid projected polyurethane. • Perimeter enclosure: • One-piece precast reinforced concrete panels. Each panel is 2.5 m wide and between 4.5 and 13 m high. • Air conditioning: Pavilions have a heating and air renewal system comprising 32 gas-driven pieces of equipment. The Auditorium has 3 heat/cold pieces of equipment, with a 100 cooling tons capacity. • Electrical system: The installed power is 1,315 KVA, with its pertinent emergency backup generator. The electricity installation has been prepared to provide electric power to exhibitors anywhere in the pavilions. • Water and sanitation system: Separately from both internal and external water, sewers and stormwater networks, a sanitation system was constructed beneath the floor of the halls, which allows exhibitors to use these services to suit their specific needs. • Fire fighting installation: The water tank (cistern) was interconnected to the internal fire fighting network with a pumping system. • Auditorium: 800-seat capacity. Acoustic insulation was achieved through concrete walls, and ceilings alternating plaster panels and mineral wool. Equipped with projection, audio and simultaneous interpretation booths. Buildings containing restrooms and coffee shops have been annexed to each pavilion. Additionally, there are buildings complementary to the pavilions, containing power transformer rooms, backup generator room, administrative offices, infirmary, surveillance center, and storage rooms.
